The Boomtown Rats are set to play in Waterford 

The Boomtown Rats are to play in Waterford.

The punk legends will play Winterval's new venue, The Hive on the Park Road on Saturday December 19.

Winterval posted the announcement on social media, where they said:“The Boomtown Rats are coming to Winterval!

December 19th at The Hive on Park Road, Geldof and The Rats are bringing Rat Trap, I Don’t Like Mondays and Banana Republic to Waterford the weekend before Christmas! image.png The Hive is our brand new venue for 2026 - picture a thousand people indoors on Park Road, heated, with a bar, the city lit up outside, and Geldof and the boys giving it socks a few feet in front of you. 

"Christmas made!” 

Tickets go on sale Friday, August 7.
