Teenager fined for driving mother-in-law's car
The teenager was given a €250 fine with six months to pay by Judge John Cheatle.
A teenager was recently fined in Waterford District Court for driving his mother-in-law's car without insurance.
Jean Carlos Martins de Moria (19), of Apartment 2, 51 O'Connell Street, pleaded guilty to driving a car without insurance.
The offence took place at Mary Street in Waterford City on January 16 this year, when the 19-year-old was driving his mother-in-law's car because she had been drinking and could not drive herself, his solicitor told the court.
His solicitor added that Mr. De Moria was "very compliant" with Gardaí on the day of the offence.
Mr. De Moria has no previous convictions, and was given a €250 fine by Judge John Cheatle.
