You might get that festive feeling on Thursday morning as Met Éireann has put in place a yellow snow ice warning for Munster.

The warning will be an addition to the existing status yellow low temperatures warning issued yesterday by the national forecaster.

Met Éireann is warning that weather will be very cold with widespread frost and icy stretches on Tuesday night until Wednesday morning. They are warning that such hazardous conditions on roads and paths will carry into Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

There is a prospect of some travel disruption during these periods.

In Munster on Thursday November 21, snowfall accumulations are now expected from 4am until midday. This likely to cause poor visibility and dangerous travelling conditions during this time.
