Seamus Ryan elected Mayor of Waterford

Seamus Ryan takes his seat as new Mayor of Waterford City and County Council
Labour’s Cllr Seamus Ryan has been elected Mayor of Waterford City and County Council.
Party colleague Cllr John Pratt will serve as Deputy Mayor.
At this afternoon's Plenary Council AGM in City Hall, Cllr Ryan was elected by 21 votes to 9, defeating Cllr Joe O’Riordan to the position.
Mayor Ryan was proposed for the role by Cllr Thomas Phelan, and seconded by Cllr Adam Wyse.
