An event coming up in County Waterford this month will focus attention on mental health and wellbeing.

The ‘Head Da Balls’ Men’s Wellness Discussion Evening is being organised by Abbeyside FC and will take place on Monday, January 19, at 8pm in Minnie's Bar, Abbeyside.

The event is being organised by the well-known soccer club as part of its commitment to supporting the wellbeing of players, members, and the wider community.

The evening will be aimed at creating an open, relaxed and supportive space where men will be able to engage in honest discussion around mental health, wellbeing and the challenges many men face, while helping to break down stigma and encourage connection.

Admission to the event will be €10 on the door, with all proceeds going to the charity, HUGG, which provides vital support to people bereaved by suicide.

Abbeyside FC is encouraging men of all ages, along with friends, family members, and supporters to attend what promises to be a positive and meaningful community event.
