The Gardái caught a motorist travelling at speed in County Waterford on Tuesday, March 3.

In an online post the Gardaí said members attached to Waterford County Community Engagement Area carried out a speed detection checkpoint in Kilmacthomas.

They said a driver was detected travelling 123Km per hour in an 80Km per hour one. 

A fixed penalty was issued which will result in a fine and penalty points being applied to the driver's licence.
