The date for the Sliabh gCua Set Club Monster Céilí in the Touraneena area of County Waterford is fast approaching and the organisers said they have a great line-up of local musicians for the event.

The Céilí, which will take place on October 20, will be open to all ages and people of all dancing ability.

"We are looking forward to an evening of craic with our old friends and hopefully meet new friends both to reminisce and create new memories of the love and tradition of Irish dancing in Sliabh gCua," said one of the organisers.

The MC on the night will be the very popular Monnie Hallahan  and the organisers said there will also be a photography display of old photos and newspaper cuttings down through the decades.

The Céilí will start at 3pm for what promises to be a fun-filled three hours and there will be a cake and a cuppa for everyone attending.

The Tuck Shop will also be open on the day.
