Mobile Health Unit providing free blood pressure and pulse checks in Waterford
The Irish Heart Foundation's Mobile Health Unit will be at the Ardkeen Quality Food Stores Carpark from 10am to 2.45pm on Tuesday April 28, offering free blood pressure and pulse checks for locals.
The Mobile Health Unit has two private consultation rooms with a nurse available in each room to provide heart health information.
The one-to-one advice offered by the nurse is a vital part of the check, and each person receives a personal record card with their results.
64% of people over 50 years old in Ireland have high blood pressure which is a leading cause of stroke, heart disease and heart attacks.
The Irish Heart Foundation’s Mobile Health Unit travels around the country offering free heart health checks to members of the public.
