Mayor of Waterford opens online book of condolence for Brian O’Shea

Mayor of Waterford City and County, Cllr. Seamus Ryan has paid tribute to former Waterford Labour TD Brian O’Shea who died peacefully on Wednesday, January 28th.
Mayor Ryan opened up an online book of condolence to commemorate his late party colleague.
Brian’s political career in Dáil Eireann spanned over four decades from 1989-2011.
“I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Brian’s wife Eileen, his children Christine, Anne, Siobhán, Mary, Paddy and John, his extended family, friends and many Labour Party colleagues,” said Mayor Ryan.
“Having been elected to Waterford Corporation, Waterford County Council and Tramore Town Commissioners, Brian had a distinguished political career, serving the people of Waterford with pride, dedication and commitment.
“As a Senator and latterly a TD, Brian served as Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Department of Health, and while these were significant national portfolios, it was his dedication to and advocacy for Waterford that he will be long remembered and respected for.
“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”
