Man with 151 previous convictions is back in court for intoxication at UHW
Judge Kevin Staunton convicted and fined Delaney €250 for the incident at University Hospital Waterford.
A 40-year-old man with 151 previous convictions received a further conviction in Waterford Courthouse last week.
John Delaney, of Bay 5, Bilberry Halting Site, entered a guilty plea on two charges of Section 4 Public Order (intoxication in a public place). One of these incidents took place at University Hospital Waterford, the other in the Carrickphierish area.
The vast majority of the man’s previous convictions are for public order-related matters, the court was told.
Delaney’s defence counsel said that many of these previous convictions are “historical” and have not occurred in recent times.
Judge Kevin Staunton convicted and fined Delaney €250 for the incident at University Hospital Waterford. He has four months to pay.
