Man charged with murder in Waterford appears in court via video link

Tomas Marvanek, a 39-year-old man accused of committing murder in Waterford city, made another appearance via video link to Waterford District Court this week.
The man, who has an address at Grange Heights, Waterford City, has been in custody since April 29 charged with the murder of mother-of-three Yveta Donovalova.
The court was informed this week that a file has been completed and is now with the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Direction is expected shortly.
When the file becomes available, the case will be moved to trial in the Central Criminal Court, the accused man's solicitor said.
Marvanek was assisted during the brief court appearance this week by a Czech interpreter.
He was remanded in custody by Judge Kevin Staunton to June 16, when further updates will be delivered.
