A jury has been empanelled for the trial.

A Waterford man is on trial for the alleged murder of his father-in-law.

Wayne Roche, with a last known address given as 84 Dominick's Place, Waterford, stands accused of murdering John 'King' O'Connor at 17 Cluain Fada, New Ross, Co Wexford on December 31, 2024. 

On Monday, April 20, Mr Roche (35) appeared in Waterford Central Criminal Court before Judge Patrick McGrath. He was wearing a white jumper with a navy gilet. Members of the deceased's family were in attendance. 

A jury of six men and six women have been empanelled for the trial.
