Large scale multi-agency checkpoint takes place on Waterford outer ring road

The Divisional Road’s Policing Unit conducted a multi agency checkpoint in Waterford on the Outer Ring Road recently, concentrating on permits for waste transport.
The operation was completed in connection with WERLA (Waste Enforcement Regional Lead Authority), Waterford City & County Council, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), Social Protection and NTSFO (National Trans-Frontier Shipment Office).
A spokesperson commented: "A number of inspections were carried out with a very successful joint agency operation."
