Pictured are the Junior Infants tug-o-war winners in the Scoil Lorcain 2000 Sports Day.

Staff photographer, Joe Evans, is going to look back through the archives of Waterford News & Star to compile galleries of photos from Waterford's past.

This collection looks back at some familiar events and faces from Waterford in the year 2000

Photos of other events are also available to view here on the website under the 'Archive' section and collections of nostalgic photos from our archive, titled 'Colourful Memories of Waterford', volumes one and two, are currently available as a fantastic photobook on sale at The Book Centre, in-store or through or office on Gladstone Street.
