A school in County Waterford is participating in the Creative Engagement arts-in-education programme.
A spokesperson for the school, Ardscoil Na Mara, in Tramore said everyone is delighted to have the opportunity.

"This entails an artist coming into the school to work with the students," said the spokesperson.

Ms Driver, who is Art Teacher in the school, was delighted to welcome oil pastel visual artist, Declan O'Meara, to the school recently to impart his skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to the students.

Declan worked with a group of Fifth Year students over a period of six hours to create beautiful landscapes based on the local environment.

"We are looking forward to having Declan working with us again in January," said the school spokesperson.

The Creative Engagement programme strives to encourage creativity, initiative and expression in students and to complement curricular learning.
