Houses evacuated as gorse fire rages in Waterford city suburbs

Waterford Fire Service are tackling a serious gorse fire in the Williamstown area of Waterford city, to the rear of the Deerpark estate on the Outer Ring Road this evening.
It is understood that a number of houses in the area, which have been engulfed in smoke, have been evacuated as firefighters attempt to bring the blaze under control.
