A brief court hearing into the alleged assault of a man in Ferrybank was held last week.

The assault is alleged to have occurred between family members during an argument over the execution of a will.

On November 12, 2025, gardaí were called to a residence in the Ferrybank area following allegations that Pat O’Neill (65), of Tullogher, County Kilkenny, struck his brother, causing him minor injuries to his face.

Mr. O’Neill’s defence solicitor informed the court that the facts of the case are in dispute at this time.

The matter will return to court in December for further progress.
