Two musicals one night, May 20 to May 23, Theatre Royal

Waterford’s TheatreBox presents a double bill of theatre at the Theatre Royal.

Act 1 brings the electrifying energy of 'Grease' to the stage.

Bursting with iconic songs, vibrant characters, and slick choreography, this feel-good musical takes you back to the halls of Rydell High for a story of friendship, fun, and young love, performed by the talented local students.

Then, in Act 2, audiences will step into a world of magic and mischief with 'Matilda Junior!'

Packed with unforgettable songs, lively choreography, and a heartwarming story of courage and imagination, this production showcases the incredible talent of the younger performers, celebrating the power of standing up, being brave, and believing in yourself - perfect for audiences of all ages.

Confined Spaces, May 28, Garter Lane Theatre

Pride at Garter Lane Arts Centre in partnership with Pride of The Déise, present a rehearsed reading of 'Confined Spaces', a new play by Michael Lavery, Directed by Em Ó Ceallaigh.

Belfast, September 2023. The Sugababes are touring again. Things are looking good for young gay Irish men who are looking to start over. 'Confined Spaces' is a dark comedy exploring toxic relationships within the queer community and the rocky, horny and uncomfortable road to self-acceptance.

The hour-long reading is followed by a social, a party in the gallery with the one and only Déise Doll spinning the decks and a pop-up bar by Tully’s.

Comedy at Comeraghs Wild, July 9, The Village Bar Rathgormack

An evening of big laughs in the heart of the Comeraghs.

Headlining the night is award-winning comedian and actor Bernard Casey, one of Ireland’s most loved comic performers.

Bernard is best known for his hugely popular online sketches including Polish Irish Barman, French Oral, Irish Listening Test, and his hit character series Gossip and Nephew.

In recent months, snippets from his stand-up shows — along with his Healy Rae-voiced Planet Earth clips — have gone viral.

Bernard’s live performances consistently sell out major venues such as the INEC Killarney, the Cork Opera House, and Vicar Street, as well as shows in London and Boston.

His television appearances include a recurring role on Callan's Kicks alongside Oliver Callan every Christmas, and No Worries If Not, on RTÉ.
