Waterford Festival of Food is inviting guests to an intimate evening set within the only interlinked 13th and 15th-century halls of their kind, a remarkable setting that has witnessed centuries of gathering, trade, and celebration.
Enjoy a thoughtfully prepared fork supper led by butcher and chef Jon Toy, while museum curator Cliona Purcell brings the space to life, sharing rich and fascinating stories of Waterford’s food heritage.
From wine and coffee to bread, oysters, and the humble rasher, discover how this historic city helped shape the way Ireland eats, trades, and celebrates.
Throughout the evening, a collective of chefs, producers, and storytellers will guide guests through a lively, social experience filled with flavour, history, and conversation.

In an ethereal place a woman daydreams about being old as she fears the terrible possibility of dying young. She has seen death and she defies it by creating life.
'An Ode to Growing Old' is a charm, a protection spell and a wish, in the shape of an experimental dance film.
With visual composition and music, the audience will get to experience the set in real life, watch the first rough cut and engage in conversation about the making of it with the artists involved, led by writer/choreographer Martina Acosta Rama.
The event is free, however, booking is required at garterlane.ie
