Popular Waterford venue announce lineup of summer gigs

The Village Bar in Rathgormack have announced a stacked lineup of summer performances, with well-known acts from around the country hitting the venue's outdoor stage from this May.
Rolling in this year’s series of performances will be the Dublin City Ramblers, who have thrilled audiences worldwide for over 50 years with their unique blend of ballads, folk, humour, wit and foot-tapping music.
The group will be in Rathgormack on Saturday, May 17.
On June 14, George Murphy & The Rising Sons will hit the stage.
Building on a strong solo career in Ireland, George Murphy moved to the U.S. where he formed eight-piece band The Rising Sons.
Combining stellar vocals with traditional Irish instrumentation, they deliver a sound that combines folk and classic rock n’ roll to play a mix of original songs and revamped versions of old classics.
The legendary Seamus Moore, the JCB Man, is coming to the Village Bar on July 5.
Expect a fantastic evening packed with all-time classics like The JCB Song, The Garda Car, Transit Van, Big Bamboo, and many more.
Bagatelle, one of Ireland's most loved bands, have performed for over 40 years and achieved several No.1 Singles with iconic songs like 'Summer in Dublin', 'Second Violin' and 'Trump Card'.
They also have enjoyed multi-platinum and gold album sales with classic emigration songs like 'Streets of New York', 'Flight of the Earls' and 'Boston Rose'.
They will be at The Village on July 18.
On August 16, ABBA tribute act, Waterloo, will perform all the golden hits from Swedish pop legends ABBA.
The Highstool Prophets are one of the most sought-after folk bands in Ireland at present.
Bringing their unique twist to the folk music of our generations, playing to a wide variety of audiences across Ireland and beyond has led to a string of sold-out shows, TV and radio appearances and new music releases.
They will perform on September 6.
A special group of Irish men and women have been responsible for the preservation of the tradition of Irish ballad singing over the past 50 years.
They will be hitting the stage on September 13.
