Guilty of speeding on Waterford city's Outer Ring Road
Judge Paula Murphy said the man has a “significant history” of road traffic offences with seven previous convictions.
A man has entered a guilty plea to careless driving contrary to Section 52 of the Road Traffic Act.
On November 19, 2025, at 9pm on the Outer Ring Road, Keith Hanrahan, of The Grove, Kill St. Laurence, Waterford, was detected driving at 136km/h in an 80km/h zone.
Judge Paula Murphy said the man has a “significant history” of road traffic offences with seven previous convictions.
Judge Murphy ordered the man to attend an in-person approved road traffic and safety course organised by the Road Safety Authority.
She said she would then order a fine of €500 rather than a disqualification.
