Gardaí in Waterford are appealing for information following an "unprovoked attack" on a man on the Ballytruckle Road.
The incident occurred on Thursday, May 29, at 9:50am.
Gardaí say the man was walking home when he was approached by another male.
After a brief interaction, the suspect punched the male with a closed fist into the face.
CCTV from the area is being sought.
Gardaí ask that if you can assist with this investigation, they please contact Unit D at Waterford Garda Station on 051 305300.
