Festival fever may have taken over the country this August Bank Holiday weekend, but nobody did it like the Déise.

Two of the biggest and most anticipated festivals brought thousands to Waterford.

The marvellous Spraoi took over the city from Friday to Sunday.

Street artists created colourful displays to delight families, residents and visitors alike.

The Seaweed Queen was as stunning as ever.

Acrobats and street performers thrilled and amazed crowds.

There was no shortage of gigs from the Apple Market to the best bars in Waterford.

The festival finished out on Sunday with the wonderful Sproai parade, perhaps one of the best things on the Waterford calendar, followed by a fireworks display over the quay.

Meanwhile, approximately 30,000 people descended on the Curraghmore Estate for the hugely popular All Together Now festival.

The festival's sixth chapter opened for early access on Thursday and ran through Sunday.

Headliners Fontaines DC, BICEP Chroma and Nelly Furtado kept music fans going for days.

Fans turned out in droves for other big names like CMAT, Bob Vylan and Primal Scream. Other names like The Boomtown Rats and Groove Armada also drew huge crowds of fans, lifelong and no doubt, new.

If the music was somehow not your thing, All Together Now boasted a dazzling variety of events and activities. Comedy acts like Tommy Tiernan, Blindboy and Chris Kent would have you laughing for hours.

There were also green crafts, live podcasts, art and even meditation.

Waterford's August Bank Holiday offerings will no doubt have cemented Waterford's place as Ireland's premier festival destination.
