Emergency response on Rice Bridge late Monday night brought to a successful conclusion

Waterford Marine Search and Rescue carried out a rescue mission on Bank Holiday Monday, August, 3, after a distress call was made to Waterford Garda Station.
In a post on their Facebook account, the community group said their crews were tasked by Waterford Gardaí to a person in distress, threatening to enter the water by Rice Bridge at 11.10pm on Monday night.
However, the incident was "brought to a successful conclusion by a quick thinking member of the public and members of An Garda Síochána. Amazing work".
The organisation finished their post with a reminder that help is available to anyone in need, saying: "Please remember you are never alone, if you need help please contact.
