Cusack family celebrate 45 years of Granville Hotel ownership

This May, the Granville Hotel will celebrate 45 years of ownership under the Cusack family name.
Since opening the hotel in 1980, the family has served generations of tourists and locals who have come through the hotel’s doors.
To mark the occasion, a commemorative 45th anniversary flag will fly outside the hotel.
The hotel was recently recognised with the Gold Outstanding Employer Award from Fáilte Ireland, the highest accolade in the programme and was ranked 14th in Ireland on TripAdvisor’s 2024 Best of the Best list, based on guest feedback.
It was awarded the prestigious Gold Historic City Hotel of Europe Award in November 2024.
At the heart of the hotel’s success has been its dedicated team.
Speaking further, Cusack family members said: “This anniversary is a celebration of the people of Waterford, our wonderful team, and the guests who have made the Granville Hotel part of their lives.
“We are incredibly proud to be part of Waterford’s story, and we look forward to continuing this journey for many more years to come.”
A range of events are planned in celebration, including a specially created Granville 45 Cocktail available all summer, a breakfast fundraiser in aid of Waterford Hospice, and a live broadcast of WLR’s ‘The Spin Home’ from outside the hotel.
