Concern over dumping at bring bank in County Waterford

Concern has been expressed over the improper dumping at the Touraneena bring bank
Concern has been expressed over incidents of improper dumping at a clothes bank in a rural part of County Waterford.
The issue arose at the bring bank in Touraneena, with locals expressing frustration over something they feel there is no excuse for.
One local person commented: "This kind of irresponsible behaviour is deeply disheartening, particularly for the many volunteers and community members who work tirelessly to keep our village clean and litter free."
The person went on to highlight that Bring Banks are for the recycling of glass and clothes that are meant to be "put inside" the bins, not outside.
"If you find that a bring bank is full, overflowing or affected by litter, please report it to Waterford City and County Council by emailing contact@waterfordcouncil.ie or calling 0818102020," said the resident.
The public is reminded that new sensors installed in bottle banks across County Waterford, means it's now possible to check how full each bring bank is before visiting.
