Mayor of Waterford City & County, Cllr Seamus Ryan launched the campaign

Mayor of Waterford City & County, Councillor Seamus Ryan has launched a campaign aimed at encouraging people to ensure they are on the live register to vote.

In launching the 'Your Vote, Your Voice', campaign Cllr Ryan encouraged his fellow councillors to lead by example and check their own registration first.

The campaign encourages people to visit www.checktheregister.ie to ensure their details are up to date ahead of future elections. Mayor Ryan said: “Making sure you’re registered is a simple step that protects your right to vote. I encourage everyone to take a moment and Check the Register today.” 

To register online you will need your PPSN, Eircode, date of birth, phone number and email address. If you prefer a paper form or need help, contact Waterford City & County Council at franchise@waterfordcouncil.ie or call 0818 10 20 20.

"Make sure your voice in Waterford is heard – check the register today," said Cllr Ryan.
