Bus Éireann “has been in engagement” with Waterford City and County Council in relation to the bus stop in Grange.
The council asked Bus Éireann to stop using two bus stops at Grange in West Waterford and Piltown in Kilkenny from the end of October as a result of a TII report that found the stops to be unsafe.
Councillors at the November sitting of the Dungarvan-Lismore District Council suggested that Bus Éireann move the stop to the council-owned carpark in Grange.
Following that meeting, The Waterford News and Star reached out to Bus Éireann to ask if they were considering moving the bus stop to the car park.
A spokesperson for Bus Éireann responded: “Bus Éireann has been in engagement with Waterford City and County Council in relation to the bus stop at Grange, and will continue to work towards a solution which best benefits passengers on our services.”
