86 new homes planned in picturesque Waterford seaside village 

The application has been submitted to Waterford City and County Council for the construction of 86 homes in the Coxtown East area of Dunmore East.

A planning application has been submitted to Waterford City and County Council for the construction of 86 homes in the Coxtown East area of Dunmore East.

Airfield Point Holdings Ltd submitted the application last week, which consists of one two-storey four-bed detached unit, one two-storey three-bed detached unit, 13 two-storey four-bed semi-detached units, one two-storey three-bed semi-detached unit and 56 two-storey three-bed terrace units.

Also planned are four one-storey one-bed apartment units, two one-storey two-bed apartment units and eight two-storey three-bed apartment units.

Car parking for the development will be provided, as will a vehicular road and pedestrian connection to the neighbouring Airfield Point housing estate.

Part of the submitted application is provision for a one-storey creche to include two classrooms, a number of ancillary rooms, an outdoor play area and 10 car parking spaces and a set down area.

A decision is expected from the local authority by August 7.
