52-year-old man was aggressive and abusive to gardaí
Judge Kevin Staunton said the man has not been in much trouble for a long time.
A Waterford man appeared in court last week in relation to an incident that occurred in Tramore on New Year’s Eve 2025.
Dean Drohan (52), of An Cairn, Racecourse Road, Tramore, pleaded guilty to a count of Section 6 Public Order.
At 10pm in Tramore on the night in question, Drohan attracted the attention of gardaí.
When approached, Drohan became aggressive and verbally abusive to gardaí.
He has 29 previous convictions. Judge Kevin Staunton said the man has not been in much trouble for a long time.
The judge decided to dismiss the charges under section 1(2) of the Probation Act.
