20-year-old given suspended sentence for drug charges
A large quantity of drugs was found in the man’s residence after a search was executed.
A 20-year-old Waterford man was handed down a suspended prison sentence in Waterford District Court last week for having in his possession large quantities of drugs, namely cannabis, ecstasy and cocaine.
Adam Walsh, with an address at Shandon Court, Upper Yellow Road, Waterford City, pleaded guilty to multiple charges of possessing drugs and possessing drugs for the purpose of sale or supply.
On May 22, 2025, a large quantity of drugs was found in the man’s residence after a search was executed.
€886 worth of cannabis, €280 worth of ecstasy pills and €1,619 of cocaine were found. A digital scales was also seized.
Walsh accepted responsibility.
On charges relating to cocaine, the judge gave the man an eight-month prison sentence suspended in full for a period of 12 months. All other charges were taken into consideration.
