The Department of Education has been accused of ‘kicking the can down the road’ over the funding of a Dublin school facing closure.

The north west city and town are set to receive up to £20 million each.

A total of €17.1 million is available, aimed at providing greater access to and awareness of telecommunications in rural areas.

In Q4 2024, 541 grants were paid out, a significant increase from Q3 2024, where 336 grants paid out,

They said funding will support the repair and restoration of older buildings with complex needs.
