Your Fitness: The best time to start

Something I have definitely been guilty of in the past, the procrastination and delayed action to take on certain challenges. This is one thing I have learned since moving to a different country to complete my Masters and pursue my dream of becoming a physiotherapist.

There is never a good time - there are better times - but the obstacle will still remain the same. The challenge we perceive in overcoming this obstacle is all relative.

If we want something bad enough we will find a way - the obstacle becomes the way.

Over the last few years, I have managed to surpass many expectations I had for myself and many that others likely had for me!

However, the purpose of this article does not revolve around my trials and tribulations. Instead, I hope to use this piece of writing to encourage and enlighten you to immerse yourself in the possibility that the time to start is now.

Time is going to pass regardless.

There is realistically never going to be a truly perfect moment in time to pursue a particular goal. The best time to start on your journey of taking action can begin as soon as the idea arises.

If it is really something that aligns with your core values - it should become a priority in your life.

The amount of time invested into thinking and talking about dreams and goals can always be better used in taking action towards these outcomes.

In 10 years, looking back - which will you regret more? Taking action towards a goal and it being successful/ unsuccessful or not acting on it at all and having no idea if it was possible.

I know which one I would certainly choose.

Hindsight is a great thing but don’t wait til it’s too late before you realise the opportunity you may have missed to add some real fulfilment to your life.

Whether the result is a success or not, you’ll be glad you tried and the lessons learned along the way will offer more value than you can ever imagine.
