Your Fitness: Eggs all in one basket?

A number on your scales doesn’t need to dictate your happiness!
Your Fitness: Eggs all in one basket?

Chances are many areas of our life start to improve as we embark on our fitness journey.

Are you focusing a little bit too much on one singular goal? Is this the most viable way forward? Can this sometimes result in more disappointment? Is there a better way to go about goal setting?

If you are asking yourself these questions, you have come to the right place! Setting yourself up for success where you are unsure where to start is more common than you think.

It is easy to get focused in on one goal when looking to improve your health and fitness. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing - I just believe there can be better ways of going about things for the majority of people out there!

Having one singular goal can leave us unaware of other positive advancements we make in the bigger picture.

Maybe the scale weight doesn’t go to the number we set and panic sets in. We start to feel all our effort was for nothing and we are unlikely to ever be satisfied until we hit this number!

If we take a step back and look at all the other positive things that are happening in our life we are likely to be amazed at what can happen. Chances are many areas of our life start to improve as we embark on our fitness journey.

It is likely that sleep has improved, we are likely feeling a bit more mobile, feeling clothes that might be fitting better - and, most importantly, we are likely feeling a little more confident in our own skin. A number on your scales doesn’t need to dictate your happiness!

Make some small goals that you want to acknowledge week-to-week, things like sleep, energy, and many other variables are worth noting!

Setting some performance goals like a 5k time or a new PB for the next time you do some squats! These are what makes this a journey of empowerment and a journey for life!
