Your Fitness: Choose when, not 'what if'
We are not looking to do a complete overhaul of your life and turn your routine upside down.
Something people often tend to underestimate when it comes to their fitness journey. Having a goal in mind that feels more suited to the category “what if” as opposed to “when”.
The thing people often don’t realise is they are closer than they think to achieving their goals.
People can often underestimate the effect even the smaller, less conspicuous health and fitness orientated tasks we add to our routine can have on our overall health and wellbeing!
I can often come across like a broken record week to week as I double down on my narrative that the small things matter!
The compounding interest and benefits that comes as a result often aren’t referred to enough.
Today, we are often exposed to the more extreme sides of the health and fitness scene where the middle ground of what is achievable and most appropriate for most people is overlooked.
As a result people are often trying to run before they can walk, for want of a better analogy. It is often more prudent to start making small changes with the mindset that the only way is up from here.
We are not looking to do a complete overhaul of your life and turn your routine upside down - instead we are focusing on adding some health-focused tasks that are likely to still provide a sufficient stimulus when it comes to provoking some of the positive health benefits we are chasing.
If you are reading this and don’t know where to start. Just start. Find two to three small things you can repeat day-to-day, which involve moving a little more, eating a little healthier and doing something that gives you peace of mind and positively impacts your wellbeing.
Once you find your rhythm more things start to fall into place that allow you to live a healthier and happier life, which once seemed moons away!
