Congratulations and well done to sisters Ailish and Elaine Dunphy, who completed the 5,895m climb up Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania, Africa. Ailish and Elaine are proud Portlaw Camogie and Waterford GAA supporters. They carried the Waterford flag and Portlaw Camogie jersey to the summit flying the blue and white, and blue and gold colours on the world's highest free-standing mountain.

Both former players for Portlaw Camogie, Ailish was our Intermediate Goalkeeper last year and Elaine played for Portlaw in her younger year before moving to England. Both keeping Portlaw Camogie at heart still. This is a once in a lifetime experience and a massive achievement to complete. Well Done Ailish and Elaine.
Wishing our premier stalwart Darren Rockett and his wife to be, Sarah Fitzgerald, the very best of luck as they head off into wedded bliss. Wishing them both a lifetime of health and happiness from everyone at the club. Enjoy the celebrations. Will be a great day.

Help our 2026 U15 and U18 juveniles kick start their fundraising appeal which they are commencing in order to cover the cost of a trip to play a series of matches against a selection of New York GAA hurling teams in May 2026. This is a reciprocal trip following the successful hosting of the New York Feile Teams in 2024 and 2025 by Portlaw GAA club and local families of our juvenile players.
Well Kids training recently in The Park, featured some fun and games followed by a chance for the children to throw water balloons at their coaches and finished off with a lovely ice cream. They also got some play time together in the playground. Well Kids takes place every Sunday morning at 10am for 3 to 6 year olds . It's free of charge and no equipment is needed. New players are always welcome. Just send us a message for details.
