The death took place of Norbert Flynn on St Patrick's Day 2026 at his home in Padua, Leperstown, Dunmore East.
Predeceased by his wife Mary-Anne, he is survived by his sons Anthony, Seán, Michael, Martin, Séamus, and daughter Olivia.
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, his brothers, sisters, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, and his many friends, especially those in Gaultier Football Club.
His remains reposed at Tom Hennessy’s Funeral Home, Johnstown, Waterford, on Thursday, March 19, and his Requiem Mass was on Friday, March 20, in the Holy Cross Church, Killea, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Norbert gave a lifelong service to the Gaultier GAA Football Club as a player, administrator and avid supporter.
He was a corner forward on the groundâbreaking team that won the Junior County Championship in 1958 and went on to play at senior and junior level in future years.
His commitment to Gaultier saw him take on the role of selector of numerous Gaultier teams, and he served the club with distinction as Chairman and on various club committees, and was a President of the club also.
He was also a proud Trustee of the club and unselfishly gave many hours of his time over many years to maintain and upkeep their main playing field.
Always friendly and supportive, Norbert will be sorely missed by Gaultier Football Club.
