We extend our sympathy to the Morrissey family on the recent passing of Patrick (Pat) Morrissey, Glenanane, Ballinamult. Pat was predeceased by his wife Aggie (née: O'Donoghue), parents Michael and Nan Morrissey, brother Monnie, sisters Kathleen, Nellie and Nonie. We extend our sincere sympathy to his nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, other relatives and friends. Requiem mass for Pat was in St. Mary's Church, Touraneena, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. May Pat rest in peace.
A reminder that St. Helena’s Church, The Nire, will hold their graveyard mass this bank holiday Monday, June 2, at 7pm. All are welcome.
Our camogie and hurling teams competed in the Roinn D final in Dungarvan recently. Huge congratulations to the girl’s team who won their fourth cup in a row. It is an amazing achievement. The boys played their hearts out and left everything on the pitch. Their team work and determination was undeniable but unfortunately it just wasn’t to be on the day. Well done to all.

There was one jackpot winner last Sunday night. The numbers drawn were 11, 13, 24 and the lucky winner was Aidan Dalton. Well done Aidan. The promoter’s prize was won by Marian Cliffe. Next week’s jackpot will revert to the €200 starting jackpot. Also please note that the draw will be held next week on the bank holiday Monday night.
The Bus Éireann school transport portal will close on June 6. To pay or to enter medical card details, please go to buseireann.ie/schooltransport
Members of the Touraneena Runners' Club recently participated in the Ardmore 5 mile event with some great performances recorded.

Ballymacarbry Scout Group are fundraising by collecting clean, empty plastic bottles and cans for the Return Scheme and they would love your help. From now until June 30, you can support our Scout Group in two simple ways: Hand your returnables to any local scout or scouting family you know or drop them off in the designated bin at Doocey’s Shop, Ballymacarbry. Every bottle and can helps to raise funds for activities, gear, and adventures for our Scouts. Thanking you in advance.
