Members of the St. Augustine’s Camogie team who beat Scoil Mhuire to win the All-Ireland Junior D camogie final

The numbers drawn in the recent lotto were 16, 17 and 21 with no jackpot winner. The five x €20 winners were Thomas Keane, Joseph Connors, Jamie and Mary Cullinan, Tom Queally and Maria B Gleeson. The promoter’s prize was won by Marion Cliffe. Next week’s jackpot is €1,100.

Well Done

Congratulations and well done to Doireann and Sine Power, and Izzy Quinlan who were members of the St. Augustine’s Camogie team who beat Scoil Mhuire to win the All-Ireland Junior D camogie final recently. Final score, St Augustine’s Dungarvan 1-14, Scoil Mhuire, Clane 2-6. Well done to all the team, the panel and managers on a great achievement.

Sympathy

We extend our sympathy to the Kennedy and Kelliher families on the recent passing of Joan (Hannah) Kennedy (née: Kelliher) Newcastle and formerly of Castlemaine, Co. Kerry and New Jersey, USA. Joan was predeceased by her son Michael, her brothers, sisters, nephews and niece. We extend our sincere sympathy to her husband Bill, sons and daughters Liam (USA), Kathleen, Maureen (USA) and James, sister Nora (Canada), sons-in-law Declan Dennehy and Richard Davis, daughter-in-law Katie (Catherine) Kennedy, grandchildren Liam, Róisín, Emma, Caitríona, Danielle and James, brothers-in-law Mike, Gus and Jimmy, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind friends, neighbours and community. Requiem mass for Joan was in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle, followed by burial afterwards in the new cemetery, Mollough. May Joan rest in peace.

Touraneena Runner’s Club

Another date for the diary is Easter Monday, April 6th, when the 12th annual Aglish 5k Fun Run/Walk will take place in aid of CHI at Crumlin. The walk will start at 11.15am and the run at 11.30am. This is a great event for all ages whilst also supporting a really important cause. Please spread the word.

Sympathy

We extend our sympathy to the Sullivan family on the recent passing of William (Bill) Sullivan, Lisheenanoul, Ardfinnan and late of Baunfaun. Bill was predeceased by his parents Kitty and Larry, brothers Pat and Timmy, sister Kathleen and niece Deirdre. We extend our sincere sympathy to his wife Mary, sons Colin and Ian, sisters Bridget, Nellie and Mary, brothers Colm and Laurence, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Requiem mass for Bill was in St. Laurence’s Church, Fourmilewater, followed by cremation afterwards at the Island Crematorium, Co. Cork. May Bill rest in peace.

Sliabh gCua Set Dancing Club 

The Sliabh gCua Croc Charms are now available to purchase at the Post Office, Touraneena and at Beary’s Cross Shop. They are also still available to purchase from Meadhbh at our dancing classes on Friday evenings. Míle buíochas to everyone who has supported our fundraiser through buying a Croc charm so far.
