Parish Draw Results

The Parish Draw results for Weeks 10, 11 and 12 were composed of: Week 10  - €150 prize won by Dermot Coffey, Williamstown; €25 winners were Lucy Lannon, Bonmahon; Nuala Kirwan, Stradbally; Anna Power, Killeen East; Molly Queally, Bonmahon; and Pierce Burke, Gardenmorris. The promoters’ draw winner was Ester McGuckian. Week 11: €150 prize was won by Mai Coffey, Lissard; €25 winners were Deirdre and Martin Allen, Kill; Marcella Tobin, Ring; Paddy Doyle, Knock, Clonea; Geraldine Power, Kilbeg; and Pat Fennell, Ballyvoile. The promoter’s draw winner was Kathleen Coffey; Week 12 - €150 prize was won by Mary and Richard McKeon, Ballygarron; €25 winners were Margaret Aherne, Rathquage; Molly Queally, Bonmahon; Mike Fennell, Ballyvoile; Eleanor O’Donnell, Faha; and Monica Gough, Carrigrea. The promoter's draw winners were Mary Hearne and Peggy Walsh. As this was the final draw of the 12-week series, Fr Cullinan and the Parish Council congratulated all prize winners and thanked everyone who supported the draw this year. Thanks were also extended to the loyal promoters and those who oversee the draw each week.

Pre-School Vacancy

It’s a Child’s Life Pre-School, based in the Barron Hall, Stradbally, is currently seeking AIM staff for 3–4 mornings per week. Tidy Towns News

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the recent village clean-up. Special appreciation goes to the teachers and pupils of St James’ NS and Our Lady of Mercy NS for their fantastic support. Thanks to the hard work of volunteers, Stradbally was left completely litter-free, creating a wonderful impression for all who visit. It is a reminder that small efforts from everyone can make a big difference, and the example set by the schoolchildren is truly inspiring.

Stradbally Market

Despite rising costs elsewhere, vendors at Stradbally Market have kept their prices in line with last year. Visitors can enjoy a wide selection of fresh produce, baked goods, homemade jams and local crafts at reasonable prices. After shopping, why not stop by the Cove Bar for tea and scones? Customers can also pre-order items by contacting Margaret on 087 6337215. A warm welcome and helpful service are always guaranteed.

Church Ruins Committee

The Stradbally Church Ruins Committee is delighted to announce that it has received a €7,000 grant from the Rathnaskillogue Community Benefit Fund. This funding will go towards essential maintenance work at the medieval church ruins over the coming year.
