As many as 400 demonstrators marched from the GPO to Leinster House on Wednesday, opposing the EU Migration and Asylum Pact.

Luas Green Line services are operating as normal again, as the protest outside Leinster House has cleared.

Protesters had signs relating to Monday's knife attack in Belfast, while others carried tricolours. Others claimed the protest is against the EU Migration Pact, but there appeared to be little organisation to it.

While there have been no reports of serious violence, protesters clashed with gardaí as they attempted to remove barriers at Kildare Street.

There was a large Garda presence near the Spire and the GPO where the protestes first congregated.

Luas Green Line Services had been operating with delays due to the protest.
