Waterford audiences are in for a compelling start to the new year with 'Mea Culpa', an original dark comedy radio play written by Gayle Corrigan and Nicola Spendlove, directed by renowned playwright Jim Nolan. The play will premiere on WLR FM on January 4th, at 6pm, blending sharp humour, emotional depth, and a distinctly Waterford sensibility. Set against the backdrop of Waterford city, 'Mea Culpa' explores themes of identity, family, and the tangled roots of belonging. Award-winning actor, playwright and co-writer Nicola Spendlove, who is adopted, brings personal insight to the play’s exploration of adoption - handled with both poignancy and a wickedly comic edge. The piece navigates love, secrets, and the messiness of discovering who we truly are.
