An evening with Brian Kennedy, October 3, The Reg 

Brian Kennedy, born in Belfast, is one of Ireland’s most acclaimed singer-songwriters and performers. 

He rose to prominence as a backing vocalist for Van Morrison before establishing a successful solo career. 

His breakthrough came with the chart-topping album 'A Better Man', in 1996, followed by a string of hit singles. 

He later represented Ireland at Eurovision 2006. 

Beyond music, he is also a novelist and TV presenter, admired for his enduring artistry.

George Murphy & The Rising Sons, September 28, Theatre Royal 

After a hugely successful year for George and The Sons which saw them release their first studio album, whilst filling some of the biggest auditoriums all over the country, they will be back for a nationwide tour in 2025.

Described as a blend of trad, folk and rock n' roll, George and his seven-piece band of 'Sons' promise a night not to be missed filled with new songs from their album and revamped old classics suitable for all generations.

Support act on the night will be The Kalimbas.

The Sea Around Us exhibition, September 19 to January 22, Waterford Gallery of Art 

The Sea Around Us is a thematic group exhibition showcasing artwork from the Waterford Art Collection as well as loans, commissions and open call submissions inspired by our relationship with the sea. 

Featuring painting, sculpture, photography, sound, and installation by artists including Killian Browne, Maura Culbert, Mick O’Dea, Phoebe Donovan, Paul Henry, Jane Jermyn, Patrick Leonard, Tanja Novacic, Eilis O’Toole, Clare Scott, John Skelton, Jack Thompson, Síle Walsh and more.
