Waterford gets new boutique festival
The Stunning will be one of the headliners at Haven Fest.
There will be a new boutique, outdoor music festival taking place in County Waterford this summer.
Haven Fest will take place on the spectacular grounds of The Haven Hotel in Dunmore East, on the weekend of June 26th to 28th.
One of the organisers commented on the significance of the event, saying: "It will be the first time major Irish artists have performed on the lawn since the Hothouse Flowers at their peak back in the 1980s."
The Main Stage on the lawn will feature some of Ireland's foremost headlining acts including: The Stunning (Friday); Gavin James (Saturday) and The Whistlin' Donkeys (Sunday).
"All of these acts have built a very loyal local following with multiple sell-out shows at The Haven in recent years, so now is the time to give them the larger platform they deserve in Waterford with a capacity of over 1,000," said the spokesperson for the organisers.
Joining them on the lawn over the weekend will be fast-rising star, Jamie McIntyre, Oasis tribute band and hometown favourites, (Mad Ferritt), the legendary Derek Warfield & The Young Wolf Tones, Mundy, Ruben Buggy and 3 For The Road.
"A second stage in the Haven’s new venue (Kelly’s Room) will feature the best of local talent over the weekend," said the spokesperson.
They will include Carrie Baxter, One Morning In August, Peter Vogelaar, Charcoal Greys, Forge Hounds and Scathach, who have all been creating waves on the music scene over the last few years.

The eclectic nature of the various acts means that with multiple genres covered, those attending can be guaranteed there will be something to interest them at HavenFest.
Meanwhile 'After Parties at The Haven' will feature DJs Wookie (Friday), Ray C (Saturday) and Ois Bosh (Sunday) who will keep the party going after the live music.
There will also be a bus service available to book for €5 each night to get you back to Waterford.
HavenFest tickets and bus tickets are available now at thehavenhotel.com/events.
