Renowned Irish performer invites members of Music Generation Waterford for gig

Jerry Fish

Legendary Irish performer Jerry Fish is set to electrify audiences at this year’s Imagine Art's Festival, and in an exciting new twist, he has personally invited members of the Music Generation Waterford Wind and Brass Programme to join him on stage.

These talented young musicians, aged 15-19, said they are thrilled to share the spotlight with such an iconic figure in Irish music.

The show aims to be an unforgettable experience as the wind and brass musicians add their rich, powerful sound to Jerry Fish’s renowned Electric Sideshow, known for its vibrant mix of circus, vaudeville, and rock ‘n’ roll.

For these young players, it’s an extraordinary opportunity to perform alongside a living legend, and festival runners say it will be a highlight of this year’s festival.

Jerry Fish has long been celebrated for his larger-than-life performances and his ability to seamlessly blend musical genres with theatrical spectacle.

Fish’s genre bending and idiosyncratic style of entertainment has made him a household name within the Irish Music industry, with two Platinum selling solo albums, an MTV award and IRMA Music Award, and a solid reputation as a supreme and spectacular showman.

Now, with the addition of the Music Generation Waterford Wind and Brass Programme, festival-goers can expect an even more dynamic and uplifting show, filled with energy, joy, and musical magic.

The Imagine Arts Festival runs from October 22 to 27, 2024, offering a programme of events that span music, theatre, dance, visual arts, and heritage.

As part of this year’s festival, Jerry Fish will be performing at Theatre Royal on Saturday, October 26, at Theatre Royal.
