Gilbert O’Sullivan announces long-awaited Waterford concert
Gilbert O'Sullivan was made Freeman of Waterford earlier this year.
A highly anticipated Gilbert O’Sullivan show has been confirmed for Waterford.
O’Sullivan will play at the Theatre Royal on December 9 and 10. Tickets got on sale this Thursday (30 May) and are expected to sell out early.
A hometown performance is eagerly awaited, with the local musician announcing to the Waterford News & Star earlier this year that a show in Waterford was on the agenda.
He said: “That’s the plan, it has to be. We are going to be doing two shows in Cork, two nights in Dublin in September and the plan is to come to Waterford, so that will happen.”
Gilbert O’Sullivan was given the Freedom of Waterford in March this year.
