The countdown is on for Dungarvan’s much loved trad music festival, TuneFest, with headline gigs including Cherish the Ladies, Talisk and Danú, music workshops, dancing, pub sessions, youth buskers, cd launches, and free outdoor gig rig performances.

Taking place on the weekend of June 21 to 23, TuneFest will bring together some of the most talented traditional Irish musicians and singers from Waterford, Ireland, and overseas.

The festival will feature sessions, recitals, and an open-air gig rig showcasing the best of traditional Irish music, dance, and song.

The event is also family-friendly, with opportunities for young musicians to perform and learn.

Headline concerts will take place each night of the three-day festival, featuring internationally renowned acts.

Due to a sold-out performance on Friday and increased demand, festival organisers have added a second show with the Irish American trad supergroup, Cherish the Ladies, on Saturday night, June 22, at 7pm in Dungarvan Town Hall Theatre, supported by Trí Thine.

These Grammy-nominated icons will light up Dungarvan with their spirited blend of traditional Irish music, powerful vocals, and electrifying step dancing. The second night is also expected to sell quickly.

Also headlining will be Talisk, a high energy folk group from Glasgow with over 15 million online streams.

They will be supported by the Johnny Quinn Macs, a trio of Irish musicians fresh from their successful UK and European tour.

The final concert of will likely be a great weekend will feature Danú, one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles, at 7.30pm at The Park Hotel, Dungarvan.

Tickets for TuneFest Dungarvan are on sale now via tunefest.ie and Eventbrite.
