Dungarvan Transport Ltd have a vacancy for an Assistant Transport Planner
We are a leading transport operator in full load road transport services in Ireland and we currently have an opening for an Assistant Transport Planner to coordinate our vehicles in Ireland. This position will require you to work Monday to Friday and also in time weekend work on a rota system.
Receiving and processing customer bookings • Data entry and job processing onto our in-house system • Assist with planning drivers collections and deliveries with awareness of drivers tachograph hours regulations • Compliance • Booking and updating jobs • Customer services • Managing fleet availability for garage maintenance/testing • Problem solving • Be able to work on your own initiative but also as part of a team • Ad-hoc duties as they arise.
A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role is desirable • Good communication skills on email and verbally • Good IT skills • Geographical knowledge of Northern and Southern Ireland • Knowledge of drivers tachograph rules and Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport Management would be a distinct advantage Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
