New Year, New Waterford?

Waterford News & Star spoke to Winterval attendees about the New Year's resolutions at the top of their minds!
, straight from driving the Winterval Train, discussed his New Year's resolutions and said that his hope for the new year was his family's health.
"In the New Year I would just hope that my family would be well, that my parents will see another Christmas - they aren't ill but they're getting older and it's important to spend time with them."
One of his resolutions for the coming year is to keep the beard and mohawk he currently sports, "that's a New Year's resolution, that's for sure!"
After getting soaked while driving the train over recent weeks, Mr. Drohan said he also hopes the coming year is drier and said he wanted to wish everyone who had come to Winterval a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Like many people in the Déise,
said she wanted to work on her own financial independence and save more money."My New Year's resolution would definitely be to have a better relationship with money and to start really saving so that I can help my mum with getting a new car."
She said she is looking to save for her future after doing some research into financial management.
"I hope that 2025 is going to be an amazing year for me, personally, so I thought I should challenge myself financially as well!"
, a software engineer, said his resolution for the coming year "like every year, is to hit the gym a bit more often!"
"I've tried to get into going to the gym a bit more in recent years but it's so challenging balancing getting in the exercise with the commute to work," said Mr Collins, who works in Waterford but lives in Wicklow.
This year, it's more important to him, however, as there is a baby on the way to the Collins family.
"Now, I have got a big reason to be in the gym, those nappies won't lift themselves from the car, I hear!"
