Voters will be flocking to the polls on November 29 to determine which faces will form the basis of the new government and Waterford has already been inundated with posters from candidates vying for your vote, and appealing to be your Number One.
There will be no shortage of topics discussed throughout the campaign, many of which remain the same as in 2020.
We took to the streets of Waterford this week to ask locals to rate how Waterford's sitting TDs and Senator did in the past four years, and what additionally needed to be done in that time.

said that Waterford’s TDs and Senator did not do enough for the county, and that the development of the quay would have been very welcome:
“I don’t think they have done enough for Waterford. I think they’re starting to rattle the cages now because there’s an election coming up, but I’ve been very disappointed because I never hear from some of them.
“In terms of improvement in the past four years, I think it’s great to see the new footbridge and I hope people will use it now. But I think they really need to get those cars off the quay and it needs to be developed as a green area because it’s the most beautiful part of Waterford. Especially with the new bridge there it will be great for people from Ferrybank as well."
Vanessa suggested making the area fully accessible to the public, with the addition of amenities, such as cafes and restaurants.
Locals
added: “I don’t think they’ve done enough. I think they help some people and some they don’t."
said: “No they’ve not done enough. They should have brought down homeless figures in Waterford. Also, an outrageous amount of money has been squandered, money that belongs to the people. Nothing has changed in the last four years."
